Deep Water Workouts - Deep Boot Camp (Su) 9:30am Spring Deep Boot CampGet ready to improve your cardiorespiratory and muscular strength and endurance in this fast paced, deep water class! This workout is for intermediate to advanced participants.Deep Cardio HIITThis class introduces exercise conducted while suspended in the deep, alternating between bursts of high intensity output and moderate activity intervals. Participants exercise all muscle groups using the resistance and buoyancy of water and the resistance of their hand weights.Deep PowerThis class targets every part of your body to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, strength and flexibility. Lifeguard Training - Lifeguard Training (May) Interested in getting Certified for Free! Come join our Team! Reach out to Will McClements for more information at wmcclements@concordma.govParticipant in the Lifeguard Program MUST be able to complete the following requirements prior to registering for the program:- Swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used.- Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs with hands positioned under the armpits.- Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds: Starting in the water, swim 20 yards, surface dive and retrieve a 10 pound brick in 7-10 feet of water and return to starting point holding the brick with both hands while keeping your face above the water and exit the water without using a ladder or steps. Swim goggles are allowed.- Participants must be 16 years of ageFor the Re-certification Class: Participants must be already certified in order to take the re-certification class.
