These preschool classes are offered to kids 3-5 years old without a parent in the water.NOTE: the class participant must be a member in good standing to register early and receive any discounts. Preschool 1Participants work towards basic skills including body positions, blowing bubbles, submerging, floating, kicking and arm action, and jumping all done with support.Preschool 2Prerequisite: Child must be able to perform 5 rhythmic bobs and be comfortable with submerging. Continues to reinforce basic skills but with little or no assistance. Emphasis is placed on floating, arm and leg action, and an introduction to rhythmic breathing.Preschool 3Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed Preschool 1 and 2. Must be able to swim one length of the Warm Water Pool unassisted. Class will work on the skills necessary to enter into the American Red Cross level classes. Skills include independent floating, and front and back crawl strokes.

Now is the perfect time of year to “jump in the water.” Beginner Swim Lessons  Are you afraid of water? Does putting your face in the water make you feel uncomfortable? Do you struggle to breathe while swimming? The Beginner Swimmers class is for you. In this class you will learn the basic swimming skills to keep you safe in the water. The Beginner Swimmer skills:- Exhaling air while face is in the water - Floating unassisted on front and back - The basics of Front crawl - The basics of Back crawl- Elementary Backstroke- Treading waterIntermediate Swim Lessons Do you want to improve your swim strokes? Are you able to swim 25 yards of Front and Back crawl but need to improve your endurance? The Intermediate Swim class is for you.  In this class you will review the skills from the Beginner Swim class and work on stroke mechanics for all four competitive strokes. The purpose of this course is to train instructor candidates to teach courses in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program. Candidates must be 15 years of age on or before the final scheduled session (proof of age is required).Pre-test Requirements Students must swim 25 yards of each of the following strokes: Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Elementary Backstroke, Breaststroke and Sidestroke.  Swim 15 yards Butterfly.  Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (floating or sculling) and tread water for 1 minute. All of these skills must be performed at a Red Cross Level 4 or higher.

Interested in getting Lifeguard certified (or re certified)?Participant in the Lifeguard Program MUST be able to complete the following requirements prior to registering for the program:Prerequisites: 1. Minimum age: 15 years; 2. Complete a swim- tread-swim sequence: Jump into the water submerge resurface swim 150 yards (using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both. 3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps.For the Re-certification Class: Participants must be already certified in order to take the re-certification class.

These preschool classes are offered to kids 3-5 years old without a parent in the water.NOTE: the class participant must be a member in good standing to register early and receive any discounts. Preschool 1Participants work towards basic skills including body positions, blowing bubbles, submerging, floating, kicking and arm action, and jumping all done with support.Preschool 2Prerequisite: Child must be able to perform 5 rhythmic bobs and be comfortable with submerging. Continues to reinforce basic skills but with little or no assistance. Emphasis is placed on floating, arm and leg action, and an introduction to rhythmic breathing.Preschool 3Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed Preschool 1 and 2. Must be able to swim one length of the Warm Water Pool unassisted. Class will work on the skills necessary to enter into the American Red Cross level classes. Skills include independent floating, and front and back crawl strokes.

Do you struggle to breathe while swimming? The Beginner Swimmers class is for you. In this class you will learn the basic swimming skills to keep you safe in the water. The Beginner Swimmer skills:- Exhaling air while face is in the water - Floating unassisted on front and back - The basics of Front crawl - The basics of Back crawl- Elementary Backstroke- Treading waterIntermediate Swim Lessons Do you want to improve your swim strokes? Are you able to swim 25 yards of Front and Back crawl but need to improve your endurance? The Intermediate Swim class is for you.  In this class you will review the skills from the Beginner Swim class and work on stroke mechanics for all four competitive strokes. Are you able to swim 25 yards of Front and Back crawl but need to improve your endurance? The Intermediate Swim class is for you.  In this class you will review the skills from the Beginner Swim class and work on stroke mechanics for all four competitive strokes. These preschool classes are offered to kids 3-5 years old without a parent in the water.NOTE: the class participant must be a member in good standing to register early and receive any discounts. Preschool 1Participants work towards basic skills including body positions, blowing bubbles, submerging, floating, kicking and arm action, and jumping all done with support.Preschool 2Prerequisite: Child must be able to perform 5 rhythmic bobs and be comfortable with submerging. Continues to reinforce basic skills but with little or no assistance. Emphasis is placed on floating, arm and leg action, and an introduction to rhythmic breathing.Preschool 3Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed Preschool 1 and 2. Must be able to swim one length of the Warm Water Pool unassisted. Class will work on the skills necessary to enter into the American Red Cross level classes. Skills include independent floating, and front and back crawl strokes.
