Parent/Child Aquatics - Parent/Child (M) 10:20am Summer This American Red Cross class is designed to help children become comfortable in the aquatic environment. Parents and children will be introduced to basic skills such as entering/exiting pool safely, kicking and blowing bubbles. Ai Chi & PiYoChi Workouts - Ai Chi (M) 11:00am Summer Ai ChiThis class is a program designed to increase range of motion, mobility, and balance, as well as to reduce stress. It includes fluid movements paired with breathing techniques to lengthen, strengthen and relax the body to prepare for the day.PiYoChiThis class is a combination of slow movements from Ai Chi, Pilates, and Yoga with concentration on breathing which is calming and helps to reduce stress. This class, set to music, is high energy and guaranteed to strengthen and tone your body. The natural resistance water provides increases muscle strength and overall flexibility and improves cardiovascular fitness. PiYoChi will improve balance, muscle tone and full range of motion. If you are interested in taking classes in both sub-sessions, please be sure to register for both classes separately!Preschool 1Participants work towards basic skills including body positions, blowing bubbles, submerging, floating, kicking and arm action, and jumping all done with support.Preschool 2Prerequisite: Child must be able to perform 5 rhythmic bobs and be comfortable with submerging. Continues to reinforce basic skills but with little or no assistance. Emphasis is placed on floating, arm and leg action, and an introduction to rhythmic breathing.Preschool 3Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed Preschool 1 and 2. Must be able to swim one length of the Warm Water Pool unassisted. Class will work on the skills necessary to enter into the American Red Cross level classes. Skills include independent floating, and front and back crawl strokes.

Also can scissor kick, whip kick, tread water, and dive.Level 6 (Swimming and Skill Proficiency)Prerequisite: Child can swim front and back crawl 50 yards, elementary backstroke 25 yards, butterfly 25 yards, sidestroke 10 yards, tread 3 minutes, and dive.
