Stay and Play provides an opportunity for children enrolled in Carousel's morning only option to stay at school a little longer and play with a mixed age group of friends. At this time, we are able to offer two Stay and Play days per week; Tuesday and Thursday.
MINIMUM REGISTRATION OF 4 CHILDREN IS REQUIRED FOR EACH DAY AND MUST BE REACHED BY WEDNESDAY OF THE PRIOR WEEK. IF MINIMUM REGISTRATION IS NOT REACHED, THE DAY WILL BE CANCELLED AND REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
Children staying for Stay and Play should bring a nutritious lunch from home. Please note the following:
- Please do not include the following foods in your child’s lunch: peanuts or peanut butter, foods containing nuts, candy, gum, grapes, hard pretzels, carrots or other foods that may present a choking hazard.(Grapes and small tomatoes may be cut in half for safety).
- Lunches are kept in your child’s cubby until lunch time. Please be sure to label your child’s lunch and pack it separate from their AM snack.
- If any portion of your child’s lunch must be kept cold, we suggest you include a cold pack, as we do not have space to refrigerate lunches. For supervision reasons, we cannot heat lunches as it takes a staff person away from the group in order to spend time in the kitchen.
All registrations are on a first come first serve basis. There are a limited number of spaces each day.There are no refunds for missed days. If we must cancel due to an unexpected closure (inclement weather, for example) a credit will be given for the missed day.
