Join us as we travel to Nashoba Valley Ski Area this winter on half day Wednesdays. This program is designed for beginner and intermediate skiers. You have the choice of just skiing or choosing to have your student participate in a one-hour lesson (6 total lessons). Lessons typically begin an hour after we arrive. This means that if your child is new to the sport, they may wait before their first lesson. As they develop their skills, and confidence, they can then use the time before their lesson to ski the bunny hills and easy trails. Chaperone's provide supervision and additional support as needed. Chaperone's are not Ski instructors but are helpful volunteers who take attendance, load and unload the buses, help participants put on ski equipment (as needed) and direct students to the lesson area.
*Please note that this years lessons are only for beginner and intermediate skiers. NO Snowboard lessons are offered on Wednesday. Lift ticket, transportation and supervision are included in the cost.
A weekly email blast will be sent through myrec about important info regarding weather, waivers, and what to expect. If you don't receive an email a week before the event, reach out and we will make sure you are on the list!
Rentals are available and a pre-fitting will be held at the Hunt Building on November 13, 2025. Rentals must be paid for at the pre-fitting and checks are to be made payable directly to the rental company. Rental's for Nashoba Valley Ski Area are only for this 6 week program. If you missed the rental fitting, contact Nashoba Valley Ski Area and schedule a fitting before the program starts.
Please arrive at Hunt Gym before 1pm. Bus departs from Hunt at 1:15pm and returns at approximately 5:15pm. Helmets are required! If you are looking to sign up for the program and do not want lessons, please select the Ski & Snowboard No Lesson section.
Nashoba Ski Lessons run from 3:15pm - 4:14pm.
Students are responsible to meet at 4:15pm at the designated spot and prepare for departure at Nashoba. Students that don't arrive for the bus by 4:30, Nashoba will make an announcement over the speaker system and a chaperone will check the lodge and last know location seen. In the event that a student does not return to the bus by 4:40pm, the bus will depart. The recreation supervisor will remain on site and engage help from ski patrol and customer service.
After the student is located their family/contact will be contacted. The student will wait with the recreation supervisor and their family/contact will be responsible for picking up the student from Nashoba. Students who are late and don't arrive for the bus by 4:30pm a 2nd time will no longer be provided transportation by Concord Recreation to and from Nashoba.
*There is no transportation to the Hunt Gym from the schools
*Buses to Nashoba are done alphabetically - NO EXCEPTIONS
No eating or drinking allowed on the bus. We recommend your student bring a snack or
snack money for this program. Students are NOT allowed to switch buses without the permission from the recreation supervisor.
NO REFUNDS AFTER DEC. 1. No lesson refund after first lesson.
NOTE: Any days missed due to weather that cannot be made up by Concord Rec/ Nashoba will be provided with a voucher to use at Nashoba. No exceptions.
